The Village has been made aware of scam emails targeting Plan Committee applicants using fake invoices that appear to come from the Village. The fraudulent emails use the Village logo, reference publicly posted agenda materials, and request payment by wire transfer for zoning fees.

These emails look very official. The easiest way to spot these emails is to look at the sender's email address. All Village email addresses end in ephraim.wi.gov, such as office@ephraim.wi.gov.

Moreover, the Village will never request a wire transfer for payment. If you do receive a suspicious invoice or payment request claiming to be from the Village of Ephraim, do not send payment and contact the Village Administration Office immediately at office@ephraim.wi.gov or 920-854-5501.
